We are excited to be launching an innovative, equity-based Community of Practice inclusive of WSU faculty, partner teachers, Noyce Scholars, and Scholars in their induction year to cultivate communication, support, and ongoing improvements for teachers, Scholars, and WSU faculty as well as secondary students in partner schools. 

Our logo captures the rich interactions and mutual support that all the partners in the community bring to the shared work of improving the preparation for and retention in teaching careers at high-need schools. 

We are committed to deepening our work with Culturally Sustaining Practices in our college and K-12 classrooms. We hope to provide the time and space in our Community of Practice to explore and bring to life our work with culturally sustaining practices, especially for white teachers teaching students of color. 

This Community of Practice will have multiple points of participation, including co-teaching and professional development for WSU and partner school faculty, and monthly meetings for partner teachers, scholars, and induction-year teachers.
